The rooms and private bathrooms are spacious and well furnished. Even though on the map it looks like the house is far from the center, it's very easy to reach with buses that run frequently all day and in the evening. It is a very safe, welcoming neighborhood that makes everyone relaxed - it offers a welcome retreat when you spend your days in the busy city.

Last week we visited Rome and stayed in the B&B La Limonaia. We are very satisfied off the perfect arrangement you did for us as b&b ass. and of our stay at La Limonaia. The description on the internet of this b&b Villa is completely true. A complement for the host, M. E., and his family. We looking back on a very nice stay in Rome.
Greetings,

Hello, We just got back from Italy and had a wonderful time. We stayed 2 of the nights at La Limonaia, in the Red Room. Mr. M. is a great host for newcomers to Italy. As soon as we arrived he gave us some important information about buses and trains (and even had tickets to sell us). He was good with suggestions for things that were open on Sunday too. The location is very good for easy access to transportation and all the sights you are there to see. The room was clean and a decent breakfast is a nice way to get started before a long day of sightseeing. A beautiful building, we only wish we could have stayed longer. Maybe next year.......

We had the pleasure of staying at La Limonaia Bed and Breakfast for 4 days in October. E. was a very gracious host. He provided us with two pages of information with valuable information about bus service, restaurants and safety. He also gave us a food request list for breakfast. The B&B was located in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to the bus service and restaurants. We stayed in the Red room and found it spotlessly clean as was the private bathroom. Our breakfast in the garden was very good, especially the house cakes. If we come back to Rome we will stay here again and I will recommend La Limonaia to other travelers. My only suggestion would be for an electric tea kettle to heat water so we could have tea or coffee in our room after a busy day of sightseeing.

My daughter and I stayed in the Red Room the last week of July and we were delighted with our accomodations. The room was large and cool thanks to the wonderful air conditioning unit. Our private bath, just across the hallway, was large and clean. But the best thing about La Limonaia was the hospitality we received. Our hostess made us feel very welcome. Breakfast in the garden was a beautiful and peaceful way to start the day. Rugi, the football playing turtle, is one of Rome's wonders! The food was delicious. It was great to be able to escape the hustle and bustle of Rome and begin and end each day at La Limonaia.

We stayed at La Limonaia during the first week of a two-month holiday in Italy. This was the very best introduction to Rome and Italy we could have hoped for. Mr. E. offered all kinds of helpful advice and got us quickly oriented to the ease of travel around Rome using La Limonaia as a base. He also gave us advice about our forward itinerary and within 24 hours had booked us into B&B's in the south of Italy. These turned out to be as spectacular as he had promised. Eduardo allowed us to use our phone card on his phone to call home and generally made us feel like a part of his family. Thank you E.

Mr. M.E.our host, was very gracious. He lives with his family on the first floor of a four story building on a tree lined street in a very safe feeling nighborhood. Our room with bath, located in the spacious basement level of the building, was very secure, and having our own key allowed us to come and go as we pleased. The room was adequate, the bed good, and the bathrom generous. The breakfast served under a vine covered trellis in the garden patio was generous enough to start the day. The bus to the heart of Rome was one block away, as were restaurants. We enjoyed our stay, and will look to stay with the Eduardo family on our next trip to Rome.

Cordialement

We spend in the first week of May 2006 seven nights in La Limonaia. Most people will prepare themselves by looking on the internet, but the moment you enter this house you really feel yourself in Rome. Especially when the weather is good you can enjoy your breakfast in the wonderful garden with the nice dog on your feet and the turtle going around!! The smell and colours of plants give you a good start of the day! Is was nice to have small talks in the morning with Carla (our nice and caring host); we mostly started in English and ended in German!! The home-made cakes are delicious and for us Dutch very surprising to have as breakfast. Because we wanted to see as much as possible of Rome we had no opportuninty to use the cosy sits in the garden or in the living room. La Limonaia is a good place to be and we hope we will visit it once more in the future. This house is easy to travel to by bus or tram and only a short ride from the city. So there are reasons enough to recomment this B-B and its friendly hosts to you.

My daughter and I just returned from a two week trip in Italy the first week was spent our tour through Italy and the second week was spent in Rome at the centrally located La Limonaia. We had a delightful time at La Limonaia. Eduardo and Carla have a lovely home and were very pleasant. Their English is limited, but better than we expected, and we had no problem communicating with them. They also provided us with printed information in English including information about the B&B, buses, restaurants/cafes, sites and markets. We stayed in the Red Room, which was wonderful. It is decorated very nice and has a lovely fireplace. We had a private bathroom that was just up the hall and was always well stocked. The added feature of a small kitchenette available for guests surprised us. This included a small refrigerator and dishes. This was a great for light suppers and snacks. The breakfasts were wonderful especially the homemade house cake and were served in their beautiful dining room. The entire place is kept very clean and tidy. The B&B is in a nice neighborhood that was quite. It is close to a number of bus lines that take you to the local sites as well as to the main terminal where you can transfer to other buses or the metro. We felt very safe walking through the neighborhood in the evening. In addition there are a number of cafes, local markets and shops within a few blocks of the B&B. We really enjoyed our stay in Rome and at the La Limonaia.
Sincerely, Teresa Rogers

Just got back from the 'Eternal city' which was was truly wonderful and memorable not just for the sights and history, but also as a result of the B&B i stayed at during my visit. The host/hostess and family were really nice, warm friendly and helpful. They have a truly beautiful home at which they make you feel most welcome. The room i stayed in(Pink room) was most comfortable, clean, nice decor, air conditioning and had it's own private bathroom. Breakfast was a delightful experience in a beautiful garden. The location was also ideal - a nice quiet residential area not far from the major sights and within a few metres of the bus stop. Having travelled as a lone female in an unfamiliar city, i felt very safe at this location.
I will definitely stay here again when i revisit and recommend this service and in particular this B&B (La Limonaia) to anyone planning a visit to Rome.

VILLA PAGANINI (CASA VACANZE)

09-01-2007, Bamberg, GERMANY
Mr. M. was very helpful when we arrived in explaning nearby facilities. His handout was also very helpful. The apartment was excellent, and provided everything we needed from basics such as towels and linen, to extras such as cleaning supplies and a full set of dishes and silverware/cutlery. The apartment was spacious and quite nice. The distance to the city center is mitigated by the proximity to the nearby bus stop, a walk of about 200m. Familiarize yourself with the Roman bus system, as it is not intuitive, and not as well organized as other European capitols. If you're looking for a spacious,well-equipped place to stay for your trip to Rome at a reasonable price, look no further.

Have just got back from a 5 night stay in Villa Paganini and would like to pass on the following comments. We stayed for 5 nights in villa paganini and have come back wonderstruck thanks to Rome but refreshed thanks to our rented flat at villa paganini. E. met us at the bus stop and showed us to the flat where he gave us useful verbal and written advice about the flat and Rome. He seemed very confident that we had made the right decision in choosing apartment 117 and quite franklly he was right. Clean and spacious, it was perfect for a family. Our girls (10 and 13 ) shared the loft room which was an experience in itself. We found enough basic food items for breakfast the next day plus quite a few extras. The biggest perk of the flat was perhaps the neighbourhood itself - it really is Roman and there are very few foreigners around to enjoy this leafy suburb. Anyone looking for a place to practise their Italian will have no end of opportunities whether it´s eating at the superb BRUTUS pizza restaurant (4 people, 62Euros), buying a stamp at the tabac or looking for items in the well-stocked supermarkets. As far as getting in and out of the city centre is concerned, the key is to take the high-frequency no.80 bus as often as possible and only to take the slower 38 bus when really needed. Have fun and say ciao to E. from us!

We have just returned from a wonderful 4 day break in Rome! We didn't get to see everything on our itinery so we'll just have to return to this romantic and fascinating city! The Villa Paganini apartment was really excellent - clean with good facilities and much character in a nice residential area 4km to the NE of the city centre. It is a 10 min. No. 38 bus-ride from Termini (the central bus/metro/train station). Look at the pictures on the b-b.rm.it website - they give you good idea of what you are renting. Our host Mr E.M. took time to explain the facilities in the local area - supermarket, restaurants, shops and how to get to the main attractions and he even gave the 4 of us a lift back to Termini station on our last day as it was raining! (A rare event I'm sure in Rome in the summer!) I was also very impressed with the helpfulness and efficiency of the Bed and Breakfast Association of Rome. They are a really good organisation to deal with and based on my experience I would not hestiatate to recommend them.
